** Little Mix gets a a thumbs up for continuing with the old school sounds, but the album is very underwhelming as a whole. Move is the real highlight, with Nothing Feels Like You being the only other standout track.
**** Salute: 5* Move: 5*+ Little Me: 5* Nothing Feels Like You: 4* Towers: 4*+ Competition: 5* These Four Walls: 4* About The Boy: 5*- Boy: 5* Good Enough: 3*- Mr Loverboy: 4*- A Diffrent Beat: 4*+ Durchschnitt: 4.41666... --> 4*+
Highlights: 1. Move 2. Salute 3. Boy
***** Salute: 4* Move: 6* Little Me: 5* Nothing Feels Like You: 5* Towers: 4.5* Competition: 4.5* These Four Walls: 5.5* About The Boy: 5* Boy: 4.5* Good Enough: 5* Mr Loverboy: 4* A Different Beat: 6*
4.916 = 5*
Highlights: Move A Different Beat These Four Walls
* The only salute this album gives...is a big up yours to musical talent and creativity... a totally average and very much below par album...bores the crap out of me listening too manufactured rubbish...
**** I enjoyed this. Move is a fantastic track and it really stands out in this though, because, as mentioned above, nothing else really pops as much as that. I did enjoy some of the ballads and 'These Four Walls' is also a very very good track. They demonstrate their vocal ability well for the most part, and are a bit more restrained here than in comparison to their first album, although I did enjoy that album a little bit more. Good production as well. 3.83/6
**** I listened to the deluxe album. Salute = **** Move = **** Little Me = ***** Nothing Feels Like You = **** Towers = **** Competition = 3.5 ---> **** These Four Walls = ** About the Boy = **** Boy = **** Good Enough = ** Mr Loverboy = *** A Different Beat = **** See Me Now = **** They Just Don't Know You = *** Stand Down = **** Little Me (Unplugged) = ******
AVERAGE = 3.8ish ---> ****
Obviously, the theme of the song is woman-enpowerment and although I thought this was gonna be one of those "woman rule men suck" kinda album, it's goes much more deeper and as a result of that, it's mature enough for me to like it. It's not as much bubble-pop as their previous album was but it's not a huge change in them for me to label them as "sell-outs" *cough* Nico & Vinz *cough*.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that they have released another great pop album that enjoyable from start to finish despite some minor bumps. Honestly decent!
*** Agree with everything alleyt1989 says although overall I'd go down to a three. Not as good as the first album in my opinion. A double year best selling girlband album but hardly surprising as they appear to be the only one on the British chart.
2 weeks UK top 10. 40 weeks in the UK top 100. UK#4 and Ireland#7. US#6.
300,000 copies sold in the UK.
The biggest selling girlband album of 2013 and 2014 in the UK. Last edited: 10.01.2016 13:19
****** They're all amazing vocalists. I like the dark vibe in most of their songs. The song Salute is very different, I had to get used to it but now I love it. Little Me really speaks to me. Very emotional and empowering song. There's no song on that album I don't enjoy.
